A profile, advertisement, listing, badge, or search result appearing on proposal.lk does not, by itself, constitute an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or guarantee by the Platform. 2.7. The Platform may provide tools to help users discover and contact other users or service providers. If the requested evidence is not supplied, we may restrict or remove the relevant content or account where reasonably necessary. 5.9. Users must independently assess the accuracy and suitability of information provided by potential partners, relatives, representatives, matchmakers, and other advertisers. 6.2. proposal.lk does not guarantee that any person is single, divorced, widowed, legally eligible to marry, financially secure, truthful about their background, or genuinely interested in establishing a relationship. 6.3. Where profiles include religion, ethnicity, caste, horoscope details, birth charts, birth times, profession, income, family background, or other cultural or personal information, such information is supplied by users or their authorised representatives unless a specific verification service is expressly stated. 6.4. proposal.lk does not guarantee the accuracy of astrological calculations, horoscope matching, porondam matching, or predictions concerning compatibility, marriage, health, finances, or future events. 6.5. Users should not rely solely on a profile, photograph, horoscope, badge, or statement when making important personal, financial, or relationship decisions. 6.6. Any decision to pursue a relationship, meeting, engagement, or marriage is made by the individuals concerned. Users should seek independent advice where appropriate. ## 7. MATCHMAKERS, AGENCIES, AND WEDDING-SERVICE PROVIDERS 7.1. Matchmakers (“Kapu Mahathvarun”), brokers, agencies, wedding vendors, and other commercial advertisers operate independently unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise. 7.2. Each matchmaker or representative must obtain appropriate authorisation and informed consent before publishing a candidate's profile, photograph, horoscope, contact information, or other personal data. 7.3. Matchmakers and agencies must take reasonable steps to ensure that profiles they submit are accurate, appropriately authorised, and not knowingly misleading. 7.4. Matchmakers and vendors must clearly explain their own service fees, commissions, terms, and conditions to their customers. They must not falsely claim that proposal.lk has approved, certified, or guaranteed their services. 7.5. Matchmakers, agencies, and vendors must not: - Publish profiles without appropriate authority or consent. - Misrepresent their identity, qualifications, fees, success rates, or services. - Use information obtained through the Platform for unauthorised purposes. - Disclose candidate information to unrelated parties without an appropriate legal basis or authorisation. - Engage in fraud, coercion, harassment, or other unlawful conduct. 7.6. Contracts, commissions, introduction fees, wedding-service fees, and other arrangements between users and independent service providers are between those parties unless proposal.lk expressly agrees otherwise in writing. 7.7. To the extent permitted by law, proposal.lk is not responsible for independent third-party services or disputes merely because a person or business advertised on the Platform. This does not exclude any responsibility arising from the Platform's own actionable conduct or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. ## 8. PROHIBITED CONDUCT You must not use proposal.lk to: - Commit fraud, impersonation, extortion, blackmail, financial scams, or other unlawful conduct. - Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or repeatedly contact a person who has indicated that contact is unwanted. - Publish non-consensual intimate imagery, private personal data, or information intended to expose, humiliate, or endanger another person. - Submit false matrimonial proposals, fraudulent advertisements, or misleading commercial offers. - Infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy, confidentiality, or other protected rights. - Collect, scrape, harvest, sell, or misuse member information through automated tools or other unauthorised methods. - Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or unauthorised commercial solicitations. - Circumvent access controls, interfere with Platform security, introduce malicious software, or disrupt the service. - Impersonate proposal.lk, its operators, administrators, or any other person or organisation. - Use the Platform to facilitate exploitation, trafficking, or other unlawful activity. - Create replacement accounts to evade a suspension or restriction. - Use contact information obtained through the Platform for unrelated marketing or commercial purposes without the required permission. Nothing in this section prevents users from exercising lawful rights or reporting suspected wrongdoing to the appropriate authorities. ## 9. SAFETY, SCAMS, AND USER INTERACTIONS 9.1. Nothing in these Terms removes any refund right, consumer protection, or other entitlement that cannot lawfully be excluded. ## 12. REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS, AND UNUSED SERVICES 12.1. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from a user's reliance on third-party content or interactions, except where such exclusion is not legally permitted. 17.6. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or limits any liability, legal duty, consumer right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or limited. 17.7.
